Samuel Richard "Sandy" Berger is a American political consultant who served as the United States National Security Advisor for President Bill Clinton from March 14, 1997 until January 20, 2001. Before that he served as the Deputy National Security Advisor for the Clinton Administration from January 20, 1993 until March 14, 1997.
Former White House national security advisor Samuel Berger argues that the nuclear deal with Iran has to be evaluated on its merits and that rejecting it would foreclose any future possibility of negotiations with Iran as well as isolating the U.S. from the rest of the world.
Samuel R. Berger warns that there is no possibility that our partners would join the U.S. if congress decided to renegotiate the deal to seek better terms, arguing that "[t]here is no second bite at this apple."
